On Monday, Jeffery Epstein court documents from 2008 were unsealed. The records describe how two teenage girls were brought to the Island with the intentions of giving Epstein a massage for two hundred dollars. But after arriving, the real motives behind the visit were quickly revealed.
The teenagers testified on how they were led to believe they were getting two hundred dollars to give a man a massage. The thirteen-year-old claims she told Epstein her real age and he still made sexual advances towards her. The teenagers were paid three hundred dollars for sexual acts, an extra hundred dollars.
The fourteen-year-old teen says she was recruited by her ex-boyfriend’s teenage cousin she barely knew at the time. The teenager who recruited her was also given three hundred dollars for bringing the fourteen-year-old. The biggest difference in the two teenager’s stories was that the fourteen-year-old claims she lied about her age, telling Epstein she was eighteen at the time.
Both teens claimed they went back more than once and every time they were paid either two hundred or three hundred dollars. One teen explained how she used the money to get naval pierced.
The documents show the defense weighed heavily on the fact the teens had come back. This could have been to convince the jury that the teens were acting on their own free will. The case can be made that the teens had prostituted themselves out to Epstein, and it would not be easy to prove otherwise. On the other hand, it cannot be overlooked that the teens were young and impressionable.
